Bible Church Preschool What is Bible Church Preschool?Bible Church Preschool is an outreach ministry of the Chapel Hill Bible Church and is a high quality early childhood program for children ages 12 months to 4 years. Our ministry is a small, non-profit program with low child/adult ratios. What is the educational philosophy?Bible Church Preschool aims to bring to the classroom an understanding of child behavior, developmental learning, and a flexible curriculum through the guiding principles of Dr. Arnold Gesell of The Gesell Institute of Human Development:
Do you accept drop-ins?Bible Church Preschool requires that children be pre-registered for the program. In order to provide a safe, well-supervised environment, we are unable to accept drop-in children. What Age Groups are included?One-Year Olds “Red Ladybugs”
Two-Year Olds “Orange Giraffes”
2-Day Three-Year Olds “Yellow Ducks”
3-day Three-Year Olds “Green Frogs”
3-Day Four-Year Olds “Blue Dolphins”

Bible Church Preschool does not meet on Thursdays or Fridays. What do the children do while at Bible Church Preschool?Children spend the morning with two dedicated adult teachers per age group. In addition, there is an on-site Director and/or Assistant Director. Each morning, the children explore centers, play inside their classroom, play outdoors (weather permitting), have a snack, and participate in developmentally appropriate arts, crafts, games, and/or activities. Classes seek a balance between active, child-initiated learning and teacher-directed instruction. The focus is on rich experiences for the children including lots of reading and open-ended art experiences. Bible Church Preschool focuses on traditional pre-school themes and has a Christian interpretation of holidays. The children wash their hands and say a blessing before snack. What are the Fees for 2009-2010?There is a yearly $40.00 non-refundable Registration Fee due at registration. Tuition: The yearly tuition is divided into 9 equal payments. All monthly tuition payments (from September to April) will be paid via Automatic Bank Drafts. (For those who would prefer not to use automatic bank drafts, you have the option of writing one check for the full annual tuition.)
Bible Church Preschool does not permit sharing or splitting of spots. What are the responsibilities of the parents?SNACKS: Parents will be assigned several snack days for their child’s class. The child’s teacher will distribute a monthly snack calendar to the parents. PARENTS’ REQUIREMENT AS “ON CALL” SUBSTITUTES FOR $30 TUITION CREDIT: Bible Church Preschool requires parents to be “on call” as a substitute TWO times during each semester. (It has been likened to being a doctor “on call” where you need to be available just in case and you must check in at the hospital to see if you are needed that day.) On their assigned date, parents are required to:
Parents will receive a tuition credit of $30.00 each morning that they work as a substitute. We usually know in advance when a staff member is going to be absent and will notify parents in advance.
