An International Thanksgiving Dinner with a Side of the Gospel

Our annual International Harvest Celebration proved to be a great evening of enjoying food and friendship once again. Over 400 international friends from our community joined us as we hosted a Thanksgiving meal in the sanctuary followed by a casual after-party in the Commons. We shared stories of harvest celebrations from different cultures, told a brief history of the first Thanksgiving, and shared the life-giving message of the gospel. And the food was amazing!

Here’s a brief look at the stats from the evening:

  • 425 attendees,
  • 140+ volunteers over the week,
  • 28 turkeys,
  • 115 donated casseroles,
  • 550 pieces of dessert,
  • 5 interns,
  • 2 paid staff,
  • and 1 lay leader

God has already allowed us to see some early fruit from the evening as many of our guests came to worship with us the following day. We had several requests that morning for Bibles in Mandarin which caused us to run out them (there will be more in stock soon).

Thank you to all of you who participated in making it such a special evening. May God continue to use this church to reach the nations.
