Today was a day we’ve been waiting for – the weather finally allowed us to pour the floor for the second level of the lower building! Zak, our construction supervisor, arrived at around 5:15a to get ready, and the first cement truck arrived at 6:15a. They were still pouring 4 hours later, and it was not until mid-afternoon that they were completely done smoothing it all to an almost polished finish.
Earlier in the week we received another load of steel, this time for parts of the connector and chapel. We are still anticipating the arrival of the biggest piece of steel in the project in the next couple of weeks. We’ll have more to say about that as the time approaches.
