Eaves Dropping on the Chapel

This past week, the main activity that is obvious from the outside is the framing of the chapel and connector sections, and just today the roof decking began to be installed on the chapel. As more and more of the open areas between steel girders and columns are filled in with metal studs, the look and feel of the building is being revealed.

We have been very blessed with windows of time between rainstorms in the past week, as well. What could have been a complete washout has actually proven to be quite productive both outside and inside. We are thankful for the good weather.

On June 3, from 3:15-3:55 pm, you will have the chance to visit the site… in person!!! In small, escorted groups, we will be taking people out into the connector section and into the chapel, and also to the top of the stairs leading down to the office and youth sections. This will be the first chance for you to be in the space and begin to get a feel for what it will be like! If you want to be part of these brief tours, please come early as space is limited. We will gather in the corridor between the kitchen and the sanctuary. We are thankful to CT Wilson Construction Company, our general contractor, for making this opportunity available to us.
