This week we have been digging chapel footings, and this morning they were filled with concrete! It is really hard to get a perspective on how large the space of the chapel is, though. It’s one of the odd things about construction – at various times the space you are going to enclose seems huge, and then it seems really too small, and only after it is all enclosed and has windows and doors does it pop into the correct perspective. Right now we would probably think that the chapel feels small, but it will seat around 300 and have a nice tall ceiling – it will be beautiful! Try to picture it when you see the trenches filled with concrete.
