Today we were able to get our data connection moved from underground along the back sidewalk (behind the sanctuary) to an overhead line. This will be a temporary move; it will be re-buried once we are finished with construction.
This was an essential step that we needed to take before the fire lane could be started. It took our Facilities Director, Matthew Wright, over three weeks of almost daily phone calls to get it arranged – these things are evidently not requested very often, so it needed to go through several layers of communication with our internet provider. But finally it is complete!
With the weather forecast of thunderstorms this afternoon, and the holiday weekend, it will be at least Tuesday before we are back underway.
