June 5, 2024 Annual Meeting Recap

Annual Meeting at Chapel Hill Bible Church

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!

Psalm 133:1

I’m reminded of this verse every time we gather as a church family, whether on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. Thank you to all who came out on Wednesday (June 5, 2024) for our June Membership Gathering, which included our Annual Meeting. The food was delicious, the community was Spirit-filled, and God was glorified through our fellowship together.

Extra thanks to all those who generously contributed their time, talents, bread, desserts, caring hands, and more to make this evening possible for our church family. We say it every time because it’s so true every time… We couldn’t make these events happen without you. THANK YOU!

For those who were unable to join us, below is a summary of the evening. You are more than welcome to reach out to Erin Bethany, Roddy Dinsmore, or another attendee with questions or for more details.

Next membership Gathering / Wednesday, November 6

Be sure to mark your calendar now for the next Membership Gathering on Wednesday, November 6!

We welcomed over 320 participants, beginning with dinner together and continuing into the main content of the evening’s gathering. Among that number, we easily exceeded the required quorum of our membership.

Stories of God Moving in our Midst / Jay Thomas (Lead Pastor)

Attendees shared a highlight of how God has moved through our CHBC community in the past year by writing it on a sticky note and then sharing their notes around the table. You are encouraged to look at these written monuments of the Lord’s work on display in the main lobby, and you can add to it yourself in the coming weeks to edify others and glorify God together.

CHBC Family Welcomes and Goodbyes / Geoff Grant (Worship Pastor)

We welcomed 20 new members to our church family (those who have joined since our February Membership Gathering), and prayed the Lord’s blessing over 28 departing members. (The summer transitions have begun…)

If you or someone you know will be transitioning out of the area or to another fellowship this summer or fall, please reach out to Pastor Ryan McKee or one of our Elders so we can support you and pray over your upcoming transition as God leads you into new fellowship and work.
