The Operation Christmas Child Team has been very busy this summer preparing for the shoe box collection week that is scheduled for November 13-20, 2023. Chapel Hill Bible Church is a drop off location for our area.
Yard Sale to Benefit Operation Christmas Child
The team held a yard sale here at Chapel Hill Bible Church on July 22. We had 10 people give donations for a table space and many people showed up to “shop”. In the end we raised $1,934! This is such a blessing and will help to pay the $10 per box postage for all the boxes that were packed through kid’s ministry.
Faith Explorers Summer Program
During the Faith Explorers summer program for 4-5 year olds, 42 boxes were packed by the children; during the packing party for the 3-4 year old Sunday school classes, 29 boxes were packed and during the packing party for the K-5th grade classes, students packed 111 boxes. In total 182 boxes were packed by the Chapel Hill Bible Church Kid’s Ministry, and are ready to be put in the hands of the children God has chosen to receive them. Each child was led in prayer over the box they packed, asking God for the boy or girl recipient to not only find joy in the contents, but to become a child of God like David – who had a whole heart for God, or Hannah – who rejoiced in God, or Anna – who trusted in Him.
