Your Questions Have Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What time are your services?

We meet on Sundays in-person at 9 and 11 am and online at 11 am. Kids Ministry occurs at the same time. For teens, we also have our Youth Ministry Sunday programming.

  • What is the worship service like?

Our Sunday morning services start at 9:00 and 11:00 and last about 1 hour and a 15 minutes. Every service includes music, a message from the Bible, prayer, and sharing information about church events and needs. Other elements happen on a more occasional basis, such as baptism, communion, and stories of transformation from our church family.

The worship services are grounded by the teaching of the Bible. This teaching can be best described as the exposition of a Biblical text in context, what is sometimes called "expository preaching." We want our services to be Christ-centered, emotionally inspiring, and intellectually challenging.

We're a diverse family from all walks of life, backgrounds, cultures, education and ethnicity. And, our musical style generally reflects that diversity. Thus, on a given Sunday, our musical styles incorporate a diverse offering of songs in a contemporary format. We love all styles and have fun creating a worship experience that engages all believers in praise of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

  • What do I do with my kids?

    5TH GRADE AND UNDER

Your children are more than welcome to stay with you in the worship service. But, if you would like for your child to attend our Kids Ministry programming, we have a lot to offer.

    MIDDLE SCHOOL & HIGH SCHOOL

If you have tweens or teenagers, they are invited to attend the service with you. Otherwise, we’d invite your students to join us on Sunday mornings for Middle and High School youth group offered in the Youth Center at 9:00 am. Additionally, CHBC Youth meets Wednesday from 7-8:30 pm downstairs in the Youth Center.

  • How long do services typically last?

Our worship services typically last for about 75-90 minutes. 30 minutes of singing and worship is followed by a 30-40 minute sermon.

Don’t be shy to linger a little longer after the service. That’s where community begins! And, don’t forget we have FREE COFFEE in-between services in the Lobby.

  • What should I wear?

At Chapel Hill Bible Church, you’ll encounter all ranges of dress code. Some dress casually, while some dress more formally. The beauty of the gospel is that it is about Jesus, not about us.

  • What denomination is the church affiliated with?

Chapel Hill Bible Church is a non-denominational church - we’re independent and not affiliated with any official church denomination.

  • Is this a place where I can explore Christianity?

No matter what you’ve been through or what questions you might have about God and faith, our church is a place where you’ll find the love, grace, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone.

  • Is your church accessible?

We have made sure that our building is accessible for people of all different abilities. We have ramps and elevators for wheelchairs, braille signs for the visually impaired, and adaptive classrooms for youth and adults with special needs.

In the Sanctuary, we also have hearing devices available for those hard of hearing, large print Bibles available upon request, and accessible seating for wheelchairs.

  • Can I watch services online if I can’t attend in person?

Absolutely! If for any reason you can’t make our in-person service, you can always tune in each Sunday at 11 am at biblechurch.live.

  • Want to talk to someone?

Meet Elizabeth! Elizabeth is our Connections Director and would love a chance to entertain your questions and help you get plugged in.

  • Can I talk to a pastor?

If you have any other questions or simply want to talk to a pastor, we’re on the other end of this line and are eager to chat with you.
